• Creator Worship: Tet Zoo being one of the most notable zoology blogs out there, this was inevitable.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Ground hornbills.
  • Other such Darkhorses include azdarchids, babirusa, crocodylians and potoos.
• Fan Nickname: "Tet Zoo", a term also used by Naish himself.
• Genius Bonus: The April Fools' posts tend to have a lot of these.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In a 2008 post Naish commented on Gregory Paul naming a dinosaur genus Mantellisaurus, opining that Mantellodon would have been a better name. A few years later Paul actually named a different dinosaur genus Mantellodon.
• Nightmare Fuel: Tapir attacks. Especially when one of the victims of said attacks chimed in with her firsthand account...
• Squick: There have been posts on the genitals of turtles, ducks, porcupines, elephants...
  • Two-toed sloths climb into latrines and feed on feces and urine.
  • Great tits eat the brains of hibernating bats.
  • One of the comments to this post mentions a zoo accident involving an anteater pushing its long sticky tongue up its keeper's nose, and presumably into his sinuses.
