- Narm: The demons' insistence on "toast" as a euphemism for "dead," to the point of referring to people scheduled for death as "toast candidates" or "toastees," gets a bit ridiculous, especially in otherwise serious scenes.
- Woolseyism: Raphael and Nathaniel in My Killer Romance both have names of Hebrew derivation ending in "-el," which is fitting given that both of them are angels. The "-el" ending refers to God and is a common ending for the names of angels in Judeo-Christian tradition, of which Raphael is one of the better-known.
