- Actor Shipping: Joy and Do-hwan, Ga-young and Do-hwan. In the latter case, Ga-young and Do-hwan were actually rumored to be dating. Both have denied these rumors. "Joyhwan" has been nothing to sneeze at either, as it has — in a bizarre example of Ship-to-Ship Combat — ignited an abundance of flame wars against those who ship Joy with her reality show "husband" Sung-jae.
- Arc Fatigue: Even the most passionate shippers of Shi-hyun and Tae-hee will probably find their Once per Episode falling-out/falling for each other again (rinse and repeat!) cycle tedious.
- Broken Base:
- Do the two leads (Joy and Do-hwan) have good chemistry or not? This was pretty heavily debated at first. However, as the series went on, more and more people began complaining that the writing was an absolute mess — yet Joy and Do-hwan's chemistry were keeping them glued. Joy and Do-hwan, as an onscreen pair, quickly won the audience over with their fiery chemistry.
- Joy's acting. Is it improving greatly, terrible, or somewhere in the middle? The fact that her fans accused Do-hwan, Min-jae, and Ga-young of bullying Joy, leading to a mass of hate comments on the three actors' social media accounts, did not help these debates one bit.
- Diagnosed by the Audience: You could make a strong case for Borderline Personality Disorder in Shi-hyun, Tae-hee, and Soo-ji.note Suitable for a drama starring youths with Abusive Parents, given that BPD tends to be traumagenic.
- Hollywood Homely: Well, not Hollywood, but it's quite amusing to see Shi-hyun refuse to unconditionally admit that Tae-hee is pretty (i.e., "She's pretty... when she smiles"; "She's pretty.... What am I thinking?!"), given that she's played by the resident Ms. Fanservice of Red Velvet, one of the most successful K-Pop acts of the current generation. It's hard to believe that anyone who looks like Sexy Dynamite, Joy, could ever have her good looks denied.◊ Her supposed plainness, even just to a guy in denial of his feelings for her, is even more laughable when you also take into account the fact that Moon Ga-young, the actress playing Tae-hee's more glamorous counterpart, bears a considerable resemblance to Joy/Tae-hee.◊
- One True Threesome: Shi-hyun x Soo-ji x Se-joo is pretty popular, though it's sometimes in a purely platonic manner.
