YMMV / Taz: Wanted

Go To

  • Ass Pull: Tweety being the one who gives you hints on how to destroy the wanted posters and guides you through the tutorial makes little sense when it turns out he's the Big Bad.
  • Best Level Ever: The third hub's levels are all very good, with Cartoon Strip-Mine and Granny Canyon being standouts for their humor, creativity, and concepts— who wouldn't love playing though a Mind Screw cartoon mine of nonsense, and a playable Road Runner cartoon?
  • No Problem with Licensed Games: It's probably one of the best Looney Tunes games out there. While it is incredibly derivative of other collectathons, this is not a bad thing, and the game puts enough of a spin on familiar concepts to keep them fresh. It helps that the game has a very varied sense of humor, and the objectives are usually pretty varied enough to keep the relatively simple gameplay fresh- you won't just be collecting stars, but blowing up beach huts, crashing submarines, and destroying an entire shopping mall.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: The score system is a neat idea, but get caught too many times in the early game and a lot of bonus content will be permanently locked out. This may be to encourage multiple playthroughs considering the relatively short runtime however.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: The adventurous Cartoon Strip-Mine music is suspiciously similar to the Indiana Jones theme.
  • That One Boss: Gladiatoons, the boss level of Sam Francisco, can throw some players in for a loop. The objective is to outscore Daffy Duck in a ball-rolling minigame, but thanks to how wonky the physics are compared to the rest of the game, it's easier said than done. It is very easy for your ball to go all over the place and accidentally hit the bumpers and be pushed around by the magnets, yet none of these seem to affect Daffy. And even when you are heavily outscoring Daffy, it is easy for the tables to turn against you as he will suddenly steal your light pods and quicky catch up. It can be frustrating when the timer is nearly up and the physics work against you while Daffy steals most if not all of your light pods, causing you to lose the minigame. Be prepared to hear a lot of booing against you when Daffy touched your light pods.
