- Funny Moments: The episode where Socrates' head is separated from his body is made hilarious by poor Dandy's reactions.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: One of the main characters, Rusty Tinman, is a bad-tempered and greedy metal man with a doored compartment on his chest, very much like a certain robot in a later cartoon taking place in the 31st century. "The Poet" also shows Rusty smoking a cigar and wasted on some kind of drink, making the resemblance even stronger.
- Nightmare Retardant: The Wicked Witch of the West in this series is harmless when compared to the MGM version, as while the latter is a genuine threat, the former is so inept, one would have to be as spineless as the Lion to actually be scared of her.
