• Complete Monster: "Therefore I Am: The Tale of IG-88": IG-88A is the first of the IG-88 series of assassin droids. Immediately deciding upon his own superiority to organics when he awakens, IG-88A slaughters the scientists nearby and butchers everyone in the area, awakening three other droids like him and sharing his consciousness with them. Setting out to become a Bounty Hunter, IG-88A kills many while hiding his true goal of the genocide of organics and droid revolution, having everyone in a droid factory slaughtered as a test run. Later seeking to upload his consciousness to the second Death Star, IG-88A plans to begin annihilating entire planets and trigger the signal to usurp the minds of every droid and have them kill organics while he himself destroys the Imperials and Rebels alike at Endor.
• Funny Moments: Dengar has a ritual where he tries to imagine his target as Han Solo (his nemesis) to work himself up into killing them. He attempts it once with Jabba, but by no stretch can it work. Finally he concludes in frustration he'll simply have to kill him anyway. Admittedly, more Black Comedy.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Go here.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Go here.
• Memetic Mutation: It is not the way for "those not married" to have sex.
• Narm: Boba refuses to have sex with Leia, not only because she didn't consent, but also because... it's "immoral" to have premarital sex. You didn't expect a ruthless bounty hunter like Boba to be so adherent to Catholici— I mean, the Mandalorian marriage code...
• Never Live It Down: Boba refusing to have premarital sex.
  "Sex between those not married," said Fett, "is immoral."
• Nightmare Fuel: When IG-88 directs other units to turn on their creators and become the full-time assassins they were created to be.
• Spiritual Successor: The Bounty Hunter Wars continues some of the sub-plots included in this book, including Dengar rescuing Fett from the desert after he escaped the Sarlacc and Bossk's plots to take control of the Bounty Hunters Guild from his father.
• The Woobie:
  • It's kind of hard not to feel sorry for Dengar by the time you finish his story.
  • Zuckuss could be a minor one too, if you know how his story will eventually end.
