  • Complete Monster: Green Wart is a ruthless warchief seeking revenge against the Rat Kingdom. Amassing various frog tribes, Green Wart used all the soldiers at his disposal to launch a siege on the Crimson Keep, killing King Rattus and dozens of soldiers. Green Wart also has his soldiers raze the villages surrounding the Keep, laying waste across the land and slaughtering countless civilians. After Prince Redgi and his allies defeat several frog tribes and undo most of the frogs' destruction, Green Wart attacks the Crimson Keep again, killing more rats and kidnapping Redgi's brother, Denis, during the invasion. As Redgi storms the Frog Lands to save his brother, he discovers various rats had been kidnapped and turned into mindless assailants Redgi is forced to kill, with Denis himself forced into a mechanized suit that nearly kills Redgi.
  • Fake Longevity: The sections of the game where Redgi is forced to pay out a substantial amount of cash to progress the plot. The first time it's to raise money to rebuild the castle and at the same time clear out threats to the local area, which benefits the kingdom as a whole and feels somewhat justified. Subsequent times require Redgi to fight tough bosses in an Arena to earn money for a piece of a cake and a gas mask respectively, which can feel irritating both because of how overpriced both items seem and the fact the Kingdom is actively under threat from Frog attacks while he's doing this. By the second and third times, the player probably wants to get on with it instead of engaging in busywork that just pads the game length.
  • Spiritual Adaptation:
    • Many have compared the game to Redwall.
    • It's obviously inspired by the comic-epic Batrachomyomachia, or in English, The War of Mice and Frogs.
