- Awesome Music: The first three albums and Noregs vaapen, at the very least.
- Funny Moments: The out-of-nowhere jawharp in "Over Bjoergvin graater himmerik III". The music itself is good, but it's hard to take it seriously with a continuous cartoonish "BOING" playing over it.
- Moment of Awesome: The banjo solo in "Myr". Considering how conservative black metal fans tend to be about the music they listen to, the fact that almost nobody complains about this is quite telling.
- Overshadowed by Controversy: Hoest's many provocative antics granted him plenty of negative press and cancelled tour dates.
- Tear Jerker: There is no shortage of somber sounding music in Taake's catalogue, but "Over Bjoergvin graater himmerik VII" stands out in particular.
