• Audience-Alienating Premise: Welcome to Mooseport: the Animated Series is about a teenager going to a new school, and his relationship with both is family and peers. It's a premise that WOULD normally have broad appeal... if said teenager wasn't a sentient copy of the 2004 film Welcome to Mooseport. This is a possible reason why the series was canceled after one episode, causing Synth to go broke and his wife to leave him.
• Creator Breakdown: Synth has one through Beter, venting about how he feels trapped making "content for middle-schoolers". Thankfully, in recent years, he's gained a following for his TV show and movie reviews which combine legitimate and nuanced critique with his trademark sense of humor.
• Crosses the Line Twice: His videos have themes that many would consider off-limits, but the delivery and pure audacity make them hard not to laugh at.
• Designated Hero: The Kick-Butt Barney Haters attempt to MURDER Barney and his friends unprompted. They're the good guys because they're "badass" and Barney + Co "stink and fart".
• Hate Sink:
  • FamilyGuyFan420's dad is a neo-Nazi alcoholic who constantly trolls his son and forces his wife to wear a gimp suit. Unlike his son, he doesn't have the backstory to make us feel anything but disdain.
  • Scotty Grillbert, despite having had a middle-class upbringing and at least well-meaning parents, has constant delusions of granduer and persecution; and goes out of his way to ruin other people's days.
  • Parodied in "The Kick Butt Barney Haters"; Barney and his friends are portrayed as stuck-up, authoritarian cowards who want to make kids do homework and eat veggies, and constantly talk about how much they like to fart.
• He's Just Hiding: FamilyGuyFan420 supposedly died, but in the video of his funeral can be heard screaming for help implying he was Buried Alive. He may have escaped, because a future video has somebody with an identical voice reviewing Quacky Ducks.
• Informed Wrongness: Barney the Dinosaur is evil and needs to die, apparently. We're never given a coherent reason other than vague claims that he "pussified" a generation and is "best friends with Justin Beiber and Hannah Montana".
• Jerkass: Scotty Grillbert, a violent, angry thug who fancies himself a badass Freedom Fighter.
• Jerkass Woobie: FamilyGuyFan420 is an angry, racist, obnoxious jackass; but as more is revealed about his backstory its hard not to feel sorry for him. He and his siblings were raised by a paranoid, abusive Neo-Nazi and he was molested by his Uncle. It's also implied that young Adolph Alvaraz (yes that's his name) was a child prodigy until his dad beat him to the point of brain-damage. Beyond the screaming, he's a broken kid who just wants to impress the people he looks up to and finds solace in a cartoon.
• Memetic Badass: His videos helped turn Skeet into one.
• Misaimed Fandom: Because of Synth's form of satire, which includes shock humor, slurs, and other things most leftists won't touch; he has a lot of fans who expect him to be right-wing. While his unironic political opinions are more "by the issue" than any specific side, he's certainly not far-right like some hoped.
• So Okay, It's Average: His opinion on Bob's Burgers.
• Moment of Awesome: FamilyGuyFan420's triumphant return to form, where he sings a parody of "I Believe", and embraces being a gamer.
• Tear Jerker:
  • FAMILYGUYFAN420 DRAWS HIS LIFE! is meant as dark comedy, but it can hit hard for anyone who's had an abusive upbringing.
  • Master Chief contemplating suicide in The Kickbutt Barney Haters.
• Took a Level in Dumbass: Played for drama and in-universe; FamilyGuyFan420 could speak three languages, play instruments, and write beautiful poetry until his dad beat him to the point of brain damage to get the "Jew thoughts" out of his head.
