YMMV / Supernatural S 05 E 22 Swan Song

• Broken Base: Even after ten more seasons, there are still fans who consider this the Series Finale and anything in the post-Kripke era non-canon or something like an expanded universe. This is especially true for fans who prefer Dean over Sam and didn't like how the actual final episode showed Sam living a normal life while Dean was killed during a hunt against normal vampires instead of saving the world like Sam in this episode. In fairness, this episode would have been a near-perfect conclusion to the series as a whole even if there are plenty of individual great episodes and moments post-Season 5.
• Heartwarming Moments: The Power of Love scene and the end when Dean keeps his promise to Sam, even though he really didn't want to. Sam making Dean promise to find Lisa and live a normal life with her.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Following the end of season 14, Chuck's attitude at the end of the episode, especially the part about how nothing really ends. It comes off as less "proud of his creations for choosing their own path" and more "I am never gonna stop messing with these guys."
• Hilarious in Hindsight: When they are all connected, the Horseman rings resemble a Fidget Spinner.
• Moment of Awesome: "Hey, ass-butt!"
