YMMV / Supergirl (2015) S5E11 "Back from the Future - Part 1"

• Die for Our Ship: The suggestion in this episode that Kara is romantically interested in William has accomplished the impossible: annoying the Karamel and the Supercorp shippers. In less than 24 hours after the episode officially aired, the hashtag Boycott Supergirl was already trending on Twitter.
• I Knew It!: While plot wise, the attraction between Kara and William appears from nowhere, the fans and critics had William down as a love interest for Kara as soon as audition tapes for the character leaked.
• Strangled by the Red String: Although most fans and critics identified William as Kara's new love interest as soon as his casting was announced, her romantic interest in him comes out of nowhere in this episode. Any previous development was wiped out by the Crisis and William disappeared for two episodes. Kara never even mentioned him during the loss of her Earth in the crossover. Now the audience is supposed to believe that Kara is now so deeply attracted to him she wonders how she can keep her identity from him. It doesn't help that other characters have to encourage Kara to consider him as a romantic partner.
