They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: James decides not to break into Lena's vault and check she has more kryptonite. He lies and says that he does. The viewer never finds out what if anything is in there. This could have kick-started an interesting plot regarding what other secrets Lena holds and are not known to the characters and the viewer.
