YMMV / Sunset Eclipsed

• Growing the Beard: The first few chapters of Sunset Eclipsed may appear to be of low quality (with some rather robotic/wooden dialogue here and there), but the story really does improve starting half-way through the Fillydelphia arc. Said chapters were eventually revised by the author to make the dialogue flow more naturally.
• Squick: The first chapter of Sunset Eclipsed originally had a very lengthy section devoted to Craw and Ghost verbally (and in the latter's case, physically) tormenting Sunset Shimmer, which led to a lot of people to believe Sunset Eclipsed was a mean-spirited story and some even accused the chapter of being borderline torture porn. Thankfully, the author (Bauglir 100) eventually took the time to revise the first chapter to shorten its length and tone down the hateful behavior (mostly for Craw, who now speaks to Sunset in a more dignified manner, almost matching his Equestria counterpart.)
  • Likewise, some people (mostly ones that disliked Changelings in general) expressed disgust at King Craw and Sunset Shimmer tongue-kissing after working together to defeat Bloodwing in Sunset Rekindled.
