- Draco in Leather Pants: Subverted, while the story is sympathetic toward Tarrlok, it does not condone the evil things he's done. It takes Tarrlok some time and hard-earned Character Development to become repentant of what he had done; even then the narrative reminds us that Tarrlok's is not a good man.
- Friendly Fandoms: The writer of Strings, Lantur and the writer of We Were Friends, with-the-villain enjoy each others work and the fans like imagine that both stories are part of the same narrative.
