• Parody Displacement: Cookie Cat is a parody of 1970s ice cream mascot "Cookie Puss", right down to his backstory of being from outer space. Him being a cat is even a Stealth Pun on how "puss" can mean "face" or "cat". Cookie Puss has largely faded into obscurity, so younger viewers might not get the joke, even though Cookie Cat is one of the show's more well-known jokes.
