YMMV / Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars

• Complete Monster: Sky Marshal Amy Snapp is a vindictive, ambitious politician who seeks to rise to further heights, allowing the bugs to attack and slaughter wantonly on Mars while she captures a rival general to frame him for the attack. Snapp proceeds to paint Mars as lost, intending to destroy the entire planet and everyone there to show herself as a decisive leader and rise even higher in the eyes of the Federation.
• Contested Sequel: The movie is widely regarded as inferior to Invasion in many aspects. While Invasion focuses on a cast of newcomers and gets a lot of tension out of Anyone Can Die, this movie features series mainstays who are unlikely to get killed. The supporting cast themselves has little depth other than being bumbling rookies, which is a far cry from the nuanced and distinct cast of Invasion. The only returning character from Invasion is Ratzass, whose promotion and relationship to Rico following the events of Invasion get barely any screentime before he dies from an offscreen suit malfunction before even getting into the fight.
