• Awesome Music: The 1983-84 theme, composed by the husband-wife duo of Mindseed.
• Crazy Is Cool: Adam Nedeff summed it up best:
  "The show even got the drool-inducing started by opening every episode with a shot of Geoff and the contestants hanging out in the Starcade Arcade (which housed every game in rotation on the show) before dashing to the stage."
• Moment of Awesome: One "Starcade Hotline" segment showed Geoff playing (and beating!) Sinistar after a taping.
• The Scrappy: Mark Richards. Alex Trebek looked more like he was having fun.
