• Harsher in Hindsight: Everything regarding Barriss Offee's fall from grace becomes a lot worse with the introduction of the Inquisitors in Star Wars Rebels. The Inquisitors are stated to be captured members of the Jedi Order who have lost faith and turned to the Dark Side to either survive or wreak vengeance upon their former Jedi friends. They are dressed in black uniforms, often with face-concealing masks, and carry red double-bladed lightsabers. And they are tasked to hunt down fugitive Jedi in Vader's absence, who are often inexperienced Jedi Padawans. Barriss' disguise as the Hooded Assailant bears an early resemblance to a typical Inquisitor and her attack on Padawan Ahsoka seems to foreshadow Inquisitors' hunt of the Jedi survivors. And the last we see of Barriss is her being taken away to prison under Palaptine's order. 11 years later, Star Wars: Tales of the Empire confirmed what many had feared: Barriss was taken to the Inquisitorius program and became an Inquisitor herself.
