• Catharsis Factor: Rex whining about the stormtrooper armor and belittling the Empire is this. Star Wars: The Clone Wars makes a point showing how clones were brothers and a family in stark contrast to the Empire's way. Thus, it hurts because the visual similarities and the fact the stormtroopers are the successors to the clone troopers. Hearing Rex disparage them is just nice confirmation that, for all intents and purposes, the two type of troopers are nothing alike.
