YMMV / Star Trek Voyager S 6 E 10 Pathfinder

Go To

  • Fridge Logic:
    • More than a few fans have questioned how Barclay was able to pull this off, considering that Starfleet's assumed trajectory for the USS Voyager doesn't mesh with the considerable jumps the ship recently made in their journey home. Hell, they shaved two years off their trip in "Night" alone. Boy, Barclay really is a genius!
    • Also, if the holodeck can only recreate the last known photographic images of Voyager's crew, how does it have any idea what Neelix looks like? (The best answer most come up with is that the Doctor's report and later the upload Voyager managed did include a full profile of Neelix, since he was a "new" crewman.)
  • Heartwarming Moments: The entire climax might be the Heartwarming Moment for Voyager in general, from Janeway's voice first reaching Earth (finally), to Tom finding out his dad still cares, to this line:
Janeway (voice breaking): Keep a docking bay open for us!
  • Stock Footage Failure: The episode uses an establishing shot of Starfleet Command taken from DS9's "Paradise Lost", thus showing officers in the division-color-on-black ensembles of TNG/early-DS9/Voyager rather than the current gray-on-black ensembles introduced in Star Trek: First Contact.
