- Accidental Innuendo: Janeway asks; "Does Harry know how to access your Borg systems?" Seven replies in the negative. Yup, we saw that in "Revulsion".
- Fridge Horror:
- In "Once Upon a Time", Harry blithely dismisses Neelix's concerns for what growing up on Voyager may be doing to Naomi's development, even confessing he wishes he'd had the chance to grow up on a starship. In this episode, Harry's mistakes end up killing the crew, including little Naomi herself.
- While retrieving Seven of Nine's interplexing beacon and chronometric node, the Doctor is seen holding a large portion of her skull with her cybernetic eye and other Borg implants still attached. How much is left of her organic head?
- He Really Can Act: Garrett Wang's underuse on the show is not exactly a secret. "Timeless" is a rare chance to see him really spread his wings, performance wise, and it's a big reason this episode is so highly cherished by fans.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- Harry mentions getting the temporal transmitter from a wrecked Borg cube in the Beta Quadrant. In Star Trek: Picard, a wrecked cube in Romulan space (generally agreed to be in the Beta Quadrant as well) is a major plot point. In fact, Word of God confirms that they're the same cube.
- Speaking of Star Trek: Picard, in this episode, Geordi is seen commanding a Galaxy-class starship, the USS Challenger. In Picard, Geordi reveals he spent more than 20 years rebuilding the USS Enterprise-D and also takes command of it while Picard leads an away mission.
- Ho Yay: Harry dedicates fifteen years to save Tom Paris, and Voyager. Notable in that Chuckles actually has a girlfriend.
- Moment of Awesome: This whole episode is Harry Kim's moment in the sun, and the final word on Harry's Undying Loyalty.
- One-Scene Wonder: LeVar Burton's appearance as now-Captain Geordi La Forge was so well-received that after Star Trek: Picard premiered, many are hoping to see Geordi as a captain again. Their wish came true, with season 3 of Picard showing Commodore Geordi La Forge and his daughters all serving in Starfleet in the early 25th century.
- Squick: The Doctor holding a big chunk of Seven's skull with her cybernetic eye still attached. It's just nasty.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: Voyager's crash-landing holds up as well as the Enterprise-D's landing from Star Trek: Generations.
- Wangst: After Harry's first transmission fails. It's understandable under the circumstances, but it's still uncomfortable to watch.
- The Woobie: Future Harry has deep-seated Survivor Guilt throughout the story. Seeing him successfully save Voyager in the end is incredibly satisfying.
