YMMV / Star Trek: The Next Generation S1 E6 "Lonely Among Us"

• Angst? What Angst?: At the end of the episode, Yar walks in and informs Picard and Riker that one of the Selay delegates has apparently been murdered by the Anticans, who have just asked the ship's chef to cook the dead Selay. You'd expect that this sort of thing would screw over the peace talks between the two races before they'd even begun, and likely lead to recriminations over the failure of the Enterprise crew to even get the delegates safely to the talks. Instead, it's used to set up an "Everybody Laughs" Ending.
• Anvilicious: The episode explicitly compares non-vegetarians to slave owners, with Riker giving a horribly condescending speech that the writer is clearly expecting us to agree with.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: A multiplayer video game called Among Us was released in 2018 which deals with a very similar scenario to this episode's, with the ship's crew containing an imposter on board and the rest of the ship's crew having to complete tasks while dodging and eventually identifying the saboteur.
