YMMV / Star Trek: The Animated Series: S2 E6 "The Counter-Clock Incident"

  • Genius Bonus: If you read the 1970 book The Making of Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry and Stephen Whitfield, then you know where Robert April came from. He wasn't created for the animated series. He came out of the Series Bible which was written while the original Star Trek concept was under development. Robert April was the original name that was seriously considered for the lead character and was used in all of the early notes for the character profile. April was renamed Christopher Pike for the first pilot. But this animated episode establishes April as preceding Pike as the first captain of the Enterprise.
