• Hilarious in Hindsight: The Enterprise reaches warp 11 in this episode. No salamanders.
• Narm: The Kelvan that gets drunk with Scotty makes a cartoonish head twitch before passing out. It's the only blight on a scene that's otherwise Scotty's Moment of Awesome.
• The Woobie: Poor Kirk, Father to His Men, continually looks like he wants to quietly throw up when all of his crew are made into cubes. It's only when he does his usual seduction as distraction thing that he starts to look perkier.
