• Like You Would Really Do It: After all the criticism that the show got for pulling the Bury Your Gays trope with Culber in the previous season, there was no real chance of this being yet another "Stamets has to let go of Culber" episode. Not to mention that there are over ten minutes of the episode remaining when Culber attempts to pull his Heroic Sacrifice, making it clear that things are going to play out differently.
  • Or the showrunners are trying to have their gays and bury them.
