• Alternative Character Interpretation: Did Burnham really want the Discovery to pick up Tyler before he died in the vacuum of space? Or was her sole goal to ensure that the data module he was carrying would reach the Discovery intact, and his being beamed aboard before he died was just dumb luck?
• Captain Obvious Reveal: The fact that Tyler is really surgically altered Voq was all but spelled out in the previous episode, so it being treated as big plot twist in this one feels a bit awkward.
