• Narm: The Benny hallucination can be a little silly and hard to take seriously, as the therapist (actually a Pah-wraith) acts cartoonishly sinister and apathetic about Benny's writing, and denounces his stories as "meaningless words that no one cares about". It makes it seem like the Pah-wraiths have never heard of creative writing of any sort and don't understand how attached writers can get to their own work (and especially considering the obssessive fan community that Trek itself has).
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
  • Quark thinks he's owed an apology from Worf for being treated poorly when he comes along to help him get Jadzia into Sto-Vo-Kor, yet he does nothing to deserve it. He continually antagonizes Worf, tries to make the mission about himself, and won't take a hint to shut up. Imagine being at a woman's funeral and continually talking about how the widowed husband is ungrateful you showed up and you think he's jealous that his wife was closer with you than him. No wonder Worf snaps at him.
  • To ensure The Sisko's very existence, what did the Prophets do? They took over the body of a completely unwilling woman, forced her to romance Joe Sisko, marry him, and bear his child. Then, a month afterwards, they left her body and she immediately left Joe, never to see him again. In other words, they committed Demonic Possession on Sarah and rape by deception on Joseph. The fact that Sisko never calls out the Prophets on this (and Kassidy even calls it "beautiful" when she finds out!) angered quite a few fans.
