• Informed Wrongness: Poor Sisko is treated by everyone and the story as if he is in the wrong about taking it slow in his relationship with Kasidy Yates, and like he owes her an apology, when he is merely being cautious and still recovering from the loss of his wife. Along with others meddling in his personal life, and Kasidy immaturely snapping at him for innocuously observing that Kasidy moving on to the station with him is a 'big step'. It comes across as Kasidy and the others pressuring him further into the relationship, not bothering to take into account his duties as a Starfleet Captain, personal issues and past or to mind their own business.
• Memetic Mutation: The scene where Kira pulls a thorn out of Dukat's butt is the source image for many humorous edits.
