• Nightmare Fuel:
  • In the scene where the German platoon fights against T-34 Soviet tanks in the snow, one of the soldiers gets bisected by tank fire. To make it more horrifying, he still screams for quite a moment before finally dying.
  • Another is still in his foxhole when a tank spins around to bury him alive.
• Special Effects Failure:
  • The aforementioned bisected soldier clearly has his bottom half buried in the snow while standing upright.
  • When Otto kills himself at the end of the film by putting a gun in his mouth, the blood splatters against the wall a good second after he pulls the trigger.
