• Awesome Music: The score by Simon Boswell and Stefano Mainetti is as stylish and brilliant as you'd expect from any contemporary Italian horror flick, in particular the opening theme and "Fish Dreams".
• Cult Classic
• Moment of Awesome: The introduction of the Night Owl—he leaps through a doorway into a cartwheel, then jumps and twirls around the stage.
• Moral Event Horizon:
  • Wallace's little artistic exhibitions likely qualify. And he started them before the film even began.
  • Peter showing that he is a Dirty Coward at heart and pushing Laurel to Irving's bare chainsaw turning her from a human shield to a human projectile just to buy himself a few precious seconds.
  • Laurel quite fittingly is also no slouch in the Dirty Coward department kicking Alice in the head when they were both trying to escape and she was grabbing her for help, leaving her for dead without any remorse.
• Narm: The villain being named Irving Wallace may come across as this to those familiar with the Book of Lists author of the same name.
• Signature Scene: Irving Wallace wearing an owl mask holding a chainsaw.
