Awesome Music: SpongeBob's rapid-fire patty-cooking scored to Tiny Tim's cover of "Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight". Supposedly, it blew the show's music budget, which is why the series mainly relies on stock music cues for its score.
It Was His Sled: Considering it's one of the defining elements of the character, it should be a surprise to virtually no one that SpongeBob gets the job at the Krusty Krab.

Tea at the Treedome:
Alternative Character Interpretation: Is Sandy fooled by SpongeBob's act of being able to breathe air, or is she purposely playing dumb in order to force him to eventually tell the truth?
Genius Bonus: In real life, sea sponges can survive for around 2 to 3 hours without water before they die of dehydration, whereas starfish can only live a couple minutes without water. With this in mind, it makes a lot more sense that SpongeBob's dehydration process was a slow burn, while Patrick immediately became dehydrated upon setting foot in the treedome.
"I don't need it... I don't need it... I don't need it..." is often used to represent someone desperately resisting a temptation (such as buying something expensive). Often, "I NEEEEEED ITTTTTT!!!" is added afterwards to show that the memer ended up caving in.
The scene of Patrick coughing as he runs out of breath and screaming "WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS!?" Often used to express horror at a given online community, either meant wholeheartedly or tongue-in-cheek.
Nightmare Fuel: SpongeBob slowly drying up and almost dying from dehydration, and later, Patrick collapsing into a coughing fit after taking five steps into the tree dome. The pain is extremely visceral.
