- Improved Second Attempt: Compared to The Amazing Spider-Man (2022), a lot of fans are thrilled to simply see Peter acting like a functional adult and having actual friends in the form of other Spider-Totems. Slott and the rest of the creative team seem to be going out of their way to avoid touching anything from that book as much as possible, beyond Peter having the goblin suit and working for Norman Osborn.
- Like You Would Really Do It: Ignoring the contradictions in canon to the current Amazing run, nobody believed for a second that Peter being removed from the Web of Life using one of Shathra's daggers would stick.
- Narm: "Spider-Verse" works as the title for a work. As a phrase being inserted constantly into dialogue? Not so much.
