  • Awesome Music:Elmer Bernstein's rousing music - the main title really revs you up.
  • Complete Monster: Overdog is an elderly, sickly cyborg, who rules over planet Terra XI and forces people to go through a deadly maze. Overdog captures three women and locks them up. When Wolff and his allies, Niki and Washington, break into his fortress, Overdog captures Niki and forces her to go through the maze. When Niki survives, Overdog hooks her up to a machine to drain her life so that he can preserve his own life, revealing that he does this to all those who survive the maze. Overdog forces all those he comes across into the maze to see if they have enough strength to survive, making them good candidates for his machine, ensuring they either die from the traps or get their lives sucked out; he was planning on doing this to the three women. When Wolff offers to take Niki's place, Overdog decides to hook them both up.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Overdog is rather amusingly similar to the resurrected Emperor Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker. Both are old, half-robot villains who are suspended from a crane and live by draining the life force of others, most specifically the film's young woman protagonist.
  • So Bad, It's Good: For all its sci-fi cheese and its knocking the '80s 3D craze down for the count through no fault of its own (keep in mind that 3D projection back in the day was notoriously hit-or-miss), this is a surprisingly decent 3D movie that doesn't really shoehorn any paddleball effects. That said, the movie is cheesy.
  • Too Cool to Live: Chalmers has great chemistry with Wolff in what little screen time she's got before getting disappointingly gunned down and replaced in the narrative by Nikki, who spends a good portion of the film's run time being annoying.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The effects really are pretty good for a film of this budget, especially the opening scene in 3D. The Mad Max vehicles are simply first class as well.
  • W.A.F.F.: The ending, as Wolff and Nikki bond as father and adopted daughter.
