• Crosses the Line Twice: Butters getting impaled by Kenny's ninja star and being left untreated for several hours is rather cruel, but his mishaps from being mistaken for an actual dog makes it absolutely hysterical.
• Fridge Logic: What are a bunch of children doing at an auction, where they'd likely be bored out of their minds and have no real input? Moreover, the auction was apparently being televised, so it's not like it would have been going at a lightning-fast pace or anything.
• Signature Scene: The Anime-esque fights, culminating in Butters getting accidentally hit in the eye with Kenny's shuriken, is one of the show's most famous clips, due to the sudden Art Shift and catchy Background Music with hilarious Engrish lyrics.
• The Woobie: Butters for his Trauma Conga Line throughout the episode.
