YMMV / South Park S 8 E 12 Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset

• Fridge Horror: When Paris Hilton challenges Mr. Slave to a whore-off at Bebe's party, two frat boys suddenly appear out of nowhere. Assuming you're not meant to think too hard about this moment, it's implied they'd crashed this party full of pre-teen girls looking for some action. However, there are a few adult women at the party as well. Hopefully, it was them they were trying to score with.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Given the trauma that's been revealed that Paris Hilton had to suffer through at the time of this episode, watching her being mocked this ruthlessly doesn't sit right with modern viewings.
  • Red mentioning Britney Spears among the list of female celebrities that count as "stupid spoiled whores" becomes this in light of everything Britney Spears has had to endure under the conservatorship put by her own father.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: The whole episode is Matt and Trey saying "If either of us had daughters, we'd be offended right now at the kind of role models they have out there." Years later, both Trey & Matt would have daughters of their own and are shown to be extremely caring fathers.
• Jerks Are Worse Than Villains: While Paris Hilton is the central antagonist of the episode, Stephen and Linda garner far more hatred for trying to sell their son to her, even though she is known to treat her "pets" horrifically. They even go as far as grounding him when Mr. Slave puts an end to Hilton. It helps that while Hilton gets her aforementioned comeuppance, Stephen and Linda completely get away with their actions.
• Shallow Parody: The entire episode is a hateful rant about Paris Hilton that, ironically, doesn't critique her for the actual things she's done. It's more of an attack on the "spoiled whore who is famous for being famous" archetype that was apparently starting to grow in popularity. Although Matt Stone's angry reaction to her positive reception of the episode seems to indicate that Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset was meant to hurt Hilton personally more than anything else.
• Squick:
  • As a Running Gag, Paris Hilton constantly coughs out a white substance that appears to be semen. Trey Parker later stated in the DVD commentary that, yes, it is indeed semen.
  • Mr. Slave literally shoving Hilton up his rectum. Complete with a scene of Hilton inside his colon.
• The Woobie: Poor Butters. Paris Hilton wants to use him as a replacement for her deceased pet dog and dresses him up as a bear against his will. Later on, she offers his parents two hundred million dollars for him. His parents not only accept the offer, but they demand two hundred fifty million dollars instead and scold Butters when he begs not to be sold to a lady that creeps him out. When Butters finds Hilton's album with photos of how all of her previous pets have committed suicide, Butters runs away, not wanting to suffer the same fate. What's worse, when Paris Hilton ends up shoved inside Mr. Slave's rectum, Butters is grounded by his parents because they won't be getting any money from her now.
