- Broken Base: According to the DVD Commentary, opinions are split about the double subversion of the episode's punchline. While some viewers find it hilarious, several others complained that it ended up rendering the "racist imagery that nobody interprets as racism" gag completely moot.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Token befriending a lion named Aslan, only to quickly find him insufferable. Then we find out his name is actually spelled "Tolkien" and it turns out he holds the Middle Earth franchise in the same low esteem as the Narnia one.
- Unintentional Period Piece: The kids thinking people using DVD players is crazy in favor of VHS as no one owns a DVD player. Nowadays, it would be quite the opposite due to how cheap DVD players in general are.
