• Crosses the Line Twice: It's no debate that child-molestation — especially from a parent — and the trauma it causes to the victims well into adulthood is no laughing matter. What is a laughing matter is that Mr. Garrison suffers from trauma from the fact that his dad didn't molest him. Even better, his wife breaks down sobbing from learning this and everyone talks him into doing the dirty deed. He doesn't, but Mr. Garrison thinks he did, is happier than ever and it's the funniest thing ever.
• Harsher in Hindsight: A New York reporter gives a description of the after-crap damage to the buildings and residents' homes while a local reporter describes the scene of 4 Million Child Recorder Blow as Ground Zero and states that the nation is "mourning and rebuilding"; 20 months later that scene would take a different meaning after the September 11th attacks.
  • The beginning of the episode also has a blink-and-you-miss-it picture of downtown Oklahoma City, including the Murrah building pre-bombing.
