  • Awesome Music:
    • The dungeon theme for Dr. Leo's Lab really gets the blood pumping, at least in the first few seconds.
    • The credits theme, A Night Without a Lover.
  • Game-Breaker: Quite a few which can be obtained later in the game.
    • The Magic Bell reduces the GEM cost of your magic spells to 0.
    • The Attack and Defense Bracelets which double attack and defence, respectively. And then there's the Super/Invulnerable Bracelet which doubles both stats.
  • Goddamned Bats: Any enemy that can move and/or attack in all 8 directions, especially those that can also make themselves invincible. Only a couple varieties of these are actually bat-shaped.
  • Strangled by the Red String: Lisa and the protagonist, Blazer. After waking her up in the beginning, she reappears later in the game and makes it abundantly clear that she has fallen for him. The Stinger has the Master imply that Blazer has also been harboring feelings for Lisa (despite nothing implying this to the player), and the two end up together.
  • That One Boss: The Dragon Bird, boss of Magridd Castle, moves extremely fast and frequently shoots fireballs that are very difficult to dodge due to limited space for you to maneuver on the battlefield. Furthermore, the only time you can actually damage the boss is for a split second when it whooshes past you — and unless you get the timing and positioning exactly right, you'll take Collision Damage in return. Add on top of all this that it has two full health bars, and you're in for a long and grueling fight.
