YMMV / Solid & Shade

Go To

  • Demonic Spiders: Vampires. Their armours are hard to scratch and they wield very damaging swords with a very long reach, which makes them very annoying to fight in melee range. Fighting them is required to acquired vampire's blood (needed to become a vampire).
  • Game-Breaker:
    • The sword Hematite (cf. Disc-One Nuke on the main page) can be acquired quite early in the game. It inflicts an obscenely huge amount of damages, has a decent reach, and don't have any pre-requisite skills or stats to be used.
    • The mount Cerberus (another Disc-One Nuke) is an optional rewards that can be acquired right after getting Hematite. Like Hematite, it can be used by any player character regardless of his build. Cerberus is very fast, is very hard to damage, and his charge is so powerful than any non-cavalry enemy unit is knocked out if Cerberus runs over it. As long as you manage to avoid enemy cavalry, it's possible to run through a whole army of infantry units and kill a lot of them without even being slowed down. And you can wield Hematite while riding Cerberus, combining the sword's basic damages with the mount's momentum to be able to kill almost anything in a single strike.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: The fact that the mod is developed for the original M&B, and not for Warband. A player coming from the latter will miss several features, such as Ctrl+Space for fast travel, or being able to order your soldiers to hold a remote position.
