- Broken Base: The band members reunited in 2008 with a Heavy Metal vocalist and adopted a more Metal-oriented sound than they had been normally known for, but kept the "Snot" band name. There were a lot complaints from long-time fans.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Some Snot fans admit that it's hard to listen to "Joy Ride" again, not helped that the song ends with the sound of a car crashing.
- Misattributed Song: Bootlegs and YouTube uploads label "Starlit Eyes" as a System of a Down song, even though it merely features Serj Tankian and not the rest of that band.
- Signature Song: "Deadfall," thanks in part to Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.
