• Arc Fatigue: It takes 92 chapters for Hana to finally come clean with her friends about being a Rōnin.
• Funny Moments: In the seventh episode, all of Eiko's classmates (save Kamuri), gave Eiko one hairpin each as a birthday present, making her bangs full of hairpins.
• Moe: Yuiko Takumi's Bottle Fairy was the benchmark for this trope, and she keeps it up.
• Values Dissonance: Viewers outside of Japan, many of whom aren't familiar with the rigid senpai/kohai dynamic Japanese schools have, find it puzzling as for why the social fallout of Hana's Rōnin situation would be serious enough for her to consider becoming a Hikikomori out of shame. In Japan, the stigma of being Held Back in School would make it harder for her to make friends, so she keeps it secret for much of the series, out of fear of what her friends might think. When she actually does tell them, they're perfectly fine with it.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: Many a viewer praises the anime's animation, with every background character given their own unique design and the small amounts of extra fluidity in the main characters' movements.
