  • Cliché Storm: The entire plot. Male protagonist searching for a missing sister? Check. Government experiments at a secret military base? Check. Zombies? Check. Overused "It was all a hallucination" twist ending? Check.
    • Gameplay likewise includes basically all the survival horror staples: the aforementioned zombies, poorly working flashlight, hunger and thirst meters, and periodic sequences of running away from an inexplicably invulnerable nemesis. All of these elements also work questionably: because the game is fully linear, meter management is hardly a problem, while the combat is bullet-spongy, yet both the encounters and the chases lack tension because the inventory system allows the player to immediately heal back any damage within the menu without sacrificing any time.
  • Slow-Paced Beginning: The game starts off slow and takes its time introducing new gameplay mechanics. The first few chapters are just story and exploration, followed by some light puzzle solving. After that you have a couple levels of exploration and meter management with very little enemy encounters. In fact you don't encounter an enemy until about 1/3rd of the way through the game, and don't get a weapon until about halfway through the game.
