• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Nick dry-humping the couch while having a dream about Drew Barrymore just came out of nowhere.
• Designated Hero: Simon and his partner, Nick just literally gagged the daughter of the head CIA and put her in their car at the middle of the film.
• Ham and Cheese: The villain is so over-the-top, that you could overlay cartoon sound effects on everything he does, and it wouldn't feel out of place.
• Padding: Nick's velociraptor impression during a fight with an armed woman takes forever. Can he just use his gun to shoot her?
  • It's actually a reference to one of Cook's gimmicks from his past stand-ups in the late The '90s but still.
• Poor Man's Substitute: Dane Cook appears to be doing his best Jim Carrey impression here.
• The Scrappy: Dane Cook doesn't appear to understand what made Jim Carrey's roles work, instead making Nick into an annoying, incompetent pervert of an agent.
