  • Anti-Climax Boss: Godlock's final duel with Playa is fairly underwhelming. Playa just steps into view, and the two men start shooting each other with pistols at close range until Godlock falls down. Then Detective Vassel comes to his aid and distracts Playa long enough for Godlock to finally kill him. Justified as all his power came from the gang he commanded and a gun in his hand; without either of those things, Playa is easily taken down like the punk that he is.
  • He Really Can Act:
    • Joel Kinnaman has proven himself to be a capable actor with roles in projects such as Altered Carbon and The Suicide Squad. However, he plays an Action Hero through nothing but his facial expressions and body language, and he nails it, particularly during the final moments of the movie.
    • Kid Cudi's role in Bill & Ted Face the Music was more a case of Stunt Casting with a bit of Adam Westing mixed in, but this film's almost total absence of spoken dialogue meant that he had to carry himself using only the strength of his nonverbal performance, and he honestly did quite well with the part.
