• Accidental Innuendo: From “Hollow Mask”: “Every day I lose myself/I wish I could believe/that I’m really somebody else/when I’m down on my knees”. Wait, what?
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The intro to “Open My Vein” has a rather vicious revenge speech that has absolutely no context and has nothing to do with the song.
• Funny Moments: From a blog post about their upcoming show at Kinetik:
  Despite being half the damn band, Kong has never actually played a live Shiv-r show, given that he is based in Bangkok and apparently they don’t have planes there or something. Well it seems he too has learned how to bend space-time and he is going to appear in Montréal onstage for our set. Now, as we all know, teleportation has been possible for many years, but the results have been disastrous, with the subject matter always coming out the other end discombobulated. So assuming Kong has mastered this science he will arrive in one piece and he won’t appear as a fleshy goo-pile on the stage.

  Ben: First of all, the left and right channels run through separate tubes. This might not sound like a problem, but the beauty of tubes is also their downfall. Tubes are inherently unstable, non-linear, bi-polar, self-harming bitches with daddy issues. This means no two tubes are going to behave in exactly the same way, especially when combined with room temperature, direction of the wind or which side the tube got out of bed that morning.
