  • Awesome Music: The whole game. Every track is amazing. Even the region exclusive tracks are amazing.
  • Goddamned Boss: The bosses of Areas D and E are not difficult by any means...but it's easy to screw up because they can take ages before they go down.
    • Area D's boss floats around, trying to shoot you, occasionally dropping mines and swooping down to charge at you with his sword. He also flies back halfway across the arena every time he gets hit, making it difficult to damage him quickly — especially if you have low health and you're trying to be cautious.
    • Area E's boss constantly changes the gravity, making it tricky to hit him. He only has one attack, but it can be tricky to dodge depending on where he is.
  • No Problem with Licensed Games: The Japanese version is dolled up to be based on a Tokusatsu show, and it still has almost everything that made the game acclaimed in the first place.
  • That One Boss: Infernon, the boss of Area F. He's a giant ninja who alternates between two attacks: First, he will slam his katana, creating waves that you have to jump over. Then, he tries to jump on you and slams the ground, creating flames near him. You cannot jump over these flames, so if you get cornered (which will happen a lot if you're not careful), you will get hit. And even then, it's hard to hit him at all, because his attacks demand that you keep your distance. To top it off, the fight takes place on an elevator moving up with spiked wheels you have to avoid as they pass by. The best way to deal with him (and his re-fight in the final level, which lacks the spiked wheels) is to time it so you bring an invulnerability suit with you into the fight.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The graphics in this game are superb, featuring very detailed backgrounds, a four layer parallax scrolling in the first part of Area B, rich palette (which is pretty notable, as NES has serious palette limitations), lots of animations and explosions.
