- Like You Would Really Do It: In the climax of the story, Deathstroke is killed. However, considering how much raw Popularity Power this character has with fans and writers alike and the fact that's he's basically DC's most iconic and ruthless Anti-Hero (or Anti-Villain Depending on the Writer), it was only a matter of time before Joker Immunity kicked in and Deathstroke got revived in the epilogue.
- Narm: The Reveal of the Big Bad of the event in Robin (2021) #14 has its dramatic impact somewhat lessened by the hilarity of Brion ripping his fake Deathstroke costume off, only to reveal he was wearing his Geo-Force costume under it the whole time. It is especially ridiculous that when he tears it off, he takes basically no effort, as if the costume was extremely cheap, and that he does so for basically no reason at all.
- Unexpected Character: The last panel of Shadow War Zone 1 has Luke Fox alongside Lashina considering recruiting Harley Quinn to the team they're assembling. This is unexpected since New Gods only occasionally involve themselves with Batman-related characters.
