• Complete Monster: Brian Juno, from the "Birth Pains" arc, is a master torturer who, inspired by stories of ancient martyrs who attained enlightenment by experiencing great pain, decided to do the same by inflicting it. Already abducting victims and subjecting them to such agonies as flaying and disembowelment, Brian is further empowered when the Madness grants him the ability to create his own Pocket Dimension of torture, even managing to pull three angels into it to allow their pain to speed up his ascendancy even more.
• Esoteric Happy Ending: The true finale, which ends on George/Lily smiling up at the stars, but on reflection he doesn't have much to be optimistic about.
• My Real Daddy: Milligan. Hardly anyone remembers much about Ditko's version, except that it had very little to do with Milligan's take.
• Nightmare Fuel: An intimate encounter gets a bit freaky as demonstrated in this panel◊ from issue 28.
