YMMV / 7 Days (2021)

• Accidental Aesop: If two people are playing with weapons nearby, even casually, make sure to keep out of their way!
• Alternate Character Interpretation: If Rosie really is haunting Callum and not just a hallucination, then is she encouraging him to keep the secret because she feels that's the best option? Or is she giving him bad advice specifically as revenge for her murder?
• Fan-Preferred Cut Content: A scene scripted but not filmed would have shown Ray slitting his throat, which would have provided more confirmation on his fate.
• Fridge Horror: When Rosie dies, she does so by hitting her head off a rock. As Callum points out, they could take her to a hospital. She very well could have been still alive, and only died due to the boys deciding to hide her body.
• Jerkass Woobie: Ray is a real piece of work, and his decision to hide Rosie's body is born out of selfishness more than anything else. But he's clearly horrified by everything, and he's so destroyed with guilt he's implied to have killed himself in the opening scene (and outright confirmed in the original script).
• Spiritual Successor: Could be considered one to I Know What You Did Last Summer, albeit with No Antagonist.
• Tear Jerker: The scene of Rosie's death being juxtaposed with the previous day of her telling Callum about getting her scholarship. Although unsure about having to move, she's clearly very hopeful. And then she dies by accident, and the boys have their lives wrecked.
