  • Anticlimax Boss: Hanson gets eaten alive by psychic (and psychotic) mutant children before John can lay a finger on him.
    • Well, that, and the real boss fight is trying to shatter the bullet and psi-proof glass.
  • Awesome Music: Has an excellent soundtrack.
  • Complete Monster: Silas Hanson, Director of Operations at the National Security Executive, is the man behind the US Zener Project. Taking over funding and overseeing Professor Viktor Grienko's experiments at the remote village Dubrensk, Hanson restarted experiments on children with psychic abilities, seeking them out and taking them away from their parents. When WinterICE got on Grienko's trail, Hanson ordered his men to relocate the Project to the United States, while also instructing them to kill all scientific staff of the facility and everyone in Dubrensk, as they have become liabilities at this point. Finding the results of the experiments uncooperative, Hanson ordered his men to kill all psychic children for tissue samples. In a possible future, Hanson successfully captured and experimented on John Vattic, and later on engineers his escape, while ordering his men to hunt him down all across the city as a test of his abilities, which results in many innocent people getting caught in the crossfire.
  • Game-Breaker: If you're going the stealthy route, the ability to turn invisible (or at least to cloud your presence in the minds of enemies, which you get in the third mission) does render a lot of the obstacles fairly insignificant. In a lot of cases, it's perfectly feasible to breeze through the entire level with Charm activated, stopping occasionally to let your psi energy replenish. That said, the fact that Charm only works on physical enemies means that, if you're spotted by a security camera you missed your Psi meter immediately depletes and the alarms sound, making this Game Breaker at least require a little finesse. It also can't take you through physical barriers like conspicuous laser beam trips.
  • Porting Disaster: The PC port lacks controller support or options of any kind, and is pretty much a straight rip of the console game with minimal effort made to accommodate the new platform.
  • That One Level: Entrapped. Part Sewer level, part Escort Mission, all painful, especially if you are trying to do it stealthily and with no kills. Checkpoints are few and far between, the enemies are heavily armed soldiers that come in large groups and tend to spawn in behind you, the level is linear with very few hiding spots and full of water puddles that will make you leave footprints and give away your position if you are invisible, and you have to escort Jayne the whole way through, who, unlike the other escorts in the game, is completely unarmed. At least she doesn't have to be calmed down every time she is saved, unlike the previous escort mission with her.
